Programme Director, Better Buildings Partnership
Sarah has worked on sustainability in the property sector for c 20 years. Sarah is currently Programme Director at the Better Buildings Partnership – a collaboration of 26 of the UK’s leading property owners with c £180bn AUM who work together to improve the sustainability performance of existing buildings. Sarah has responsibility for the BBP business strategy and for overseeing its programme of work, the BBP is focused on enabling market transformation through the delivery of practical tools for the industry. One of the BBP’s key programmes of work is the Real Estate Environmental Benchmark (REEB) – an industry leading initiative to benchmark performance in use. Using the publicly available methodology, BBP members benchmark their assets each year and the dataset now exceeds 1,000 properties. Prior to this, Sarah was a European Director at JLL and a founding Director of Upstream, the UK’s leading sustainability advisor to the UK property sector. Sarah is also a visiting lecturer on Sustainable Real Estate at Cass Business School, a Board Director of the Sustainable Development Foundation and an independent advisor to clients in the property sector.
