Low Carbon Consultant of the Year

This Award recognises an outstanding contribution to low carbon performance and the winner has been selected based on carbon return forms submitted by CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants.

The Register of Low Carbon Consultants was developed by CIBSE, supported by the Carbon Trust, to provide the market with a supply of professionals whose competence in low carbon design and operation has been tested and is registered. Registered consultants advise on both design and operation of commercial buildings to the highest energy efficiency standard and ensure compliance with Part L.

By driving down carbon emissions within the built environment CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants, and Low Carbon Energy Assessors, offer more than compliance, providing recommendations to achieve a greater sustainable environment.
The Low Carbon Consultant of the Year Award recognises measured energy performance and carbon WINNER Andrew Gardner reduction achievements by CIBSEregistered Low Carbon Consultants.

Each consultant is invited to submit a list of the projects that they have worked on and the carbon savings that they have achieved on each project, and to explain the measures that they have used to deliver the savings.
This year’s winner has worked for several large and prestigious clients on a number of their buildings, looking for ways to reduce the energy they use and reduce their carbon emissions and carbon reduction commitment liabilities.
He specialises in the installation of combined heat and power systems in larger retail buildings, and through his work he has designed a number of installations for larger retail premises.
