Information for Employers
The Training & Development Manual (towards CEng, IEng or EngTech) contains guidance for employers on providing training schemes for their trainees and pro forma documentation for candidates to record their learning and experience. Please refer to Section A4 of the T&D Manual for guidance when putting together your submission.
If you would like your company Training and Development scheme to be considered for approval, you will need to complete and return an application form
Please also submit your contact details for your entry in the List of Approved Schemes. Please submit an electronic version of your application and scheme, cross-referencing the details of your programme to the T&D Competence Objectives outlined in the T&D Manual and detailed in membership fact sheets M21 (MCIBSE/CEng), A21 (ACIBSE/IEng) or L21 LCIBSE/EngTech) as appropriate.
These competences are exactly the same as the criteria set by the Engineering Council in the UK-SPEC for Engineering Technician, Incorporated Engineer and Chartered Engineer which can be downloaded from the Engineering Council website.
The registration fee is £600 (£500 + VAT) and this covers administration and approval period of your company scheme for a maximum of three years.
