Patrons visit Engineering the World exhibition at the V & A

A group of Patrons recently (November) visited London's Victoria and Albert museum to see the 'Engineering the World: Ove Arup and the Philosophy of Total Design' exhibition.

The exhibition featured previously unseen archival materials for famous Ove Arup led projects such as the Sydney Opera House, alongside more recent prototypes and digital animations by Arup.

Before entering the exhibition, the Patrons were given a talk by one of the experts involved with the exhibition, discovering that Ove Arup's first commission in the early 1930s was for a restaurant in the unlikely location of Canvey Island - a far cry from Sydney!
