Performance: A Focus on Facilities Management

The 2016 Building Performance Conference programme will look to the future and address how the building services industry can achieve its performance aspirations. Achieving performance in use is a big feature of this year’s programme.
Speakers – including experienced practitioners, professors, economists, and commentators – will be focused on delivering engaging content to inspire improvements in performance.

Sessions include:

  • How data is adding value to the FM function across the Ministry of Justice properties.  Learn how the MOJ extracted data from BIM to inform the FM function in the operational phase.
  • Build to Perform: Realising the commercial drivers and opportunities in high performing buildings The panel looks across the supply chain to examine what are the commercial (and other) drivers for improving building performance. Why is good building performance so important? How do you measure it? And what commercial opportunities do high levels of building performance generate.
  • Update on legislation and the direction of travel with CIBSE technical director Hywel Davies and Allen WilĂ©n, economics director at Glenigan.
  • Building performance & air quality impacts: FM Case Study Giuseppe Borgese examines the maintenance issues for filtration/ventilation?
  • The Big Retrofit Opportunity Chaired by Munish Datta, Head of Plan A & Facilities Management - M&S, this session will address: Is retrofit the industry’s biggest carbon, financial and occupant comfort opportunity and what are the opportunities for building service engineers?
