CIBSE announce new event for the Building Services Sector

Leadership in Building Performance is a major new conference and exhibition looking at the efficient design, construction, maintenance and operation of buildings and the systems that support them. The event will enable clients, engineers and designers, contractors and product manufacturers – the full supply chain – to identify and focus on the developments, innovations and best practice that will materially assist them to improve the performance of both existing and new buildings – to deliver, not just promise, better building performance.
Leadership in Building Performance takes place at the QE II Conference Centre in Westminster on October 28th & 29th 2014. A broad outline of the conference will include on Day 1: Private Sector Building Performance – to include retail, commercial (offices), leisure (hospitality and sports) and on Day 2: Public Sector Building Performance – health, education and housing. The Conference will have strong links with CIBSE's Building Performance Awards, which annually recognise those leading in this field, and will feature case studies demonstrating actual delivery of performance, innovation and best practice.
The two day conference and exhibition includes a series of thought provoking discussions and presentations that will give demonstrable and practical advice that can be implemented by delegates to improve performance.
The exhibition area, free to enter, will include workshops and 'think tank' forums from leading building service providers and exhibitors, giving real examples and case studies of performance benefits with emphasis on technical development.
The new event is being organised by Step Place Exhibitions, who also organise major events including Healthcare Estates, Education Estates and the OAS Development Awards. Step Place will work closely with The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) who have over 20,000 members in 97 countries around the world and a global network of professional support and expertise, work in partnership with other professional bodies, construction and engineering firms worldwide. Areas include: energy efficiency, heating and ventilation, lighting, public health, commissioning and facilities management within the building services industry.
