CIBSE announces shortlist for 2014 Building Performance Awards

CIBSE has revealed today the entries which have made the shortlist for its prestigious Building Performance Awards. The winners of the Awards will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday 11thFebruary 2014 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Chairman of the Judging Panel, Dr Hywel Davies said: "The Building Performance Awards are not just about impressive design aesthetics, but evidence of exemplary performance. We have seen an increased number of submissions with real data about the performance of the entry. What has also been notable this year is the increased level of interest from the retail sector - indicative that energy performance in these estates is being taken seriously."

New for the 2014 Building Performance Awards, CIBSE has introduced the ‘International Project of the Year' category with projects shortlisted in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Italy and Singapore.

As energy policy becomes one of the most serious issues facing governments in the UK and internationally, these important Awards recognise and reward the best examples of actual performance, innovation and practice in optimising how buildings work.
