Digital Awards Categories

The categories have been designed to keep the entry requirements as straightforward as possible, enabling busy, working engineers to enter and secure recognition for their work and include:

  • Best Innovation: open to any digital innovation. This may be a piece of software, a project process or other innovation that shows ground-breaking thought. This does not need to be applied to a specific project.

  • Best Process and Application: open to any digital process and/or its application that benefitted a project or company internal process. This must be applied to a specific project.

  • Best Digital Engineer: open to individuals who have excelled in their field using digital technologies and shown innovation in digital processes and/or collaboration. Individuals may self-nominate or be nominated by colleagues

  • Best Contractor: open to any contractor of any size. The judges will be looking for a digitally enabled workplace with enhanced process efficiencies and project outcomes achieved through digital innovation across the workforce

  • Best Manufacturer: open to any manufacturer of any size. The judges will be looking for a digitally enabled workplace with enhanced process efficiencies and project outcomes achieved through digital innovation across the workforce

  • Best Consultancy: open to any consultancy of any size. The judges will be looking for a digitally enabled workplace with enhanced process efficiencies and project outcomes achieved through digital innovation across the workforce

  • Best Project/Collaboration small: open to any construction project with a total capital spend of £10 million or less. The judges will be looking for digitally enabled collaboration that enhanced the project outcomes

  • Best Project/Collaboration large: open to any construction project with a total capital spend of more than £10 million. The judges will be looking for digitally enabled collaboration that enhanced the project outcomes

  • Digital Champion: open to the winners of the other categories. Judges will be looking for whichever category winner has provided the biggest steps forward in digital engineering and provided the best service to projects, people and processes overall.
