Tim is visiting professor of Building Services Systems at the Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering, UCL. He is Chair of the CIBSE Technical Symposium, Technical Editor for the CIBSE Journal and an educational and technical consultant.

Don is a Professor at the University of Kentucky and Director of the Kentucky Industrial Assessment Center. He is a previous President of ASHRAE and started and led for ten years the development of the ASHRAE/AIA/IESNA/USCGBC/DOE Advanced Energy Design Guides. 


Daniel Chambers
Daniel is a Mechanical Engineer at MRB Consulting Engineers and is a member of the CIBSE Yorkshire Young Engineers committee.

Susie is a founding partner of Inkling LLP established in September 2011. Her core skills are in Building Physics modelling AKA Design Simulation.

Christer Frennfelt is a qualified Engineer and holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the faculty of engineering (LTH), Lund University, Sweden. Most of his work has centered on Energy & Environment. Christer is certified Heat Network Consultant, member of CIBSE Technical Committee and currently works for SWEP International AB, responsible for District Energy business.


Julie Godefroy CEng
Julie has been working as sustainability consultant for 10 years and has experience from early planning stages through to construction and post-occupancy evaluation. She has worked in most sectors, with a particular interest in housing, hotels, and historic buildings and refurbishments. She is a BREEAM AP and a member of the Soft Landings User Group and of the National Trust’s Historic Environment Group and its Design Advisory Forum.

Kevin  Lomas is a member of the Building Energy Research Group in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering at Loughborough University. He is the Professor of Building Simulation, the Academic lead for the Loughborough Energy Research Challenge and the Loughborough Director of the London-Loughborough Centre for Doctoral Research in energy Demand.

Charlotte Mercer
Charlotte is an Electrical Engineer at Cundall and is a member of the CIBSE Young Engineers Committee for London.


Mike SmithMike Smith CEng HonFCIBSE
Board Director of BSRIA since 1999, Mike is responsible for all engineering activities (including troubleshooting, IT & telecommunications) as well as for all Compliance activities such as air tightness testing, ventilation systems and acoustic testing requirements for Building Regulations (England and Wales) and Building Standards in Scotland.

Benjamin Skelton
Benjamin is President and CEO of Cyclone Energy Group Chicago. He was previously Senior Building Specialist at Building Momentum Group LLC.

Emilia is a Mechanical Engineer at Hoare Lea in London.  She is also "CIBSE ASHRAE Graduate of the Year 2014" Award winner.



Nyree Hughes - CIBSE Technical Networks Manager
Nyree is the staff manager for the Technical Symposium. She also oversees the activities of the Special Interest Groups, The Society of Fa├žade Engineering, The Society of Public Health Engineers, The Institute of Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers and the Young Engineers' Network.

Hywel DaviesDr Hywel Davies - CIBSE Technical Director
Hywel is responsible for technical input to CIBSE Knowledge Portal & Publications, co-ordination between CIBSE Groups and Societies, development of CIBSE input to policy consultations from government and the devolved administrations in Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
