The information we collect and how we use it You can access the CIBSE website ('the Website') without giving any personal information except for the Members Only area, the Briefings section and the Discussion Forum. Information required for online sales
CIBSE requires certain information to be submitted when you wish to purchase anything online dependant on whether you are a member or non-member. This will include name, address, membership number (to enable you to benefit from member discounts), telephone number, and email address, as well as your credit or debit card number and expiry date.
This information allows us to process and despatch your order. We ask for your telephone number so that we can contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order.

CIBSE Online Discussion, Ratings and Comments
If you participate in online discussions, your contribution will appear on the CIBSE Website with your name. For legal reasons all comments submitted need to be accompanied by your name, membership number (if a member), and email address.
Where the Knowledge Portal allows the user to post ratings and comments on items within the KP, these should be regarded solely as personal opinions of the user posting them and may carry the name of the member making those comments.
