Course Content

  • Earthing Overview and general concepts

Session 2

  • An Overview of BS.7430: 2011 Code of Practice for Earthing
  • Low Voltage Supply Earthing Arrangements
  • Maintenance, Inspection and Testing

Session 3

  • Earthing & Bonding to the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, BS.7671
  • Earthing and Circuit Protective Conductors
  • Main Equipotential and Supplementary Bonding Conductors
  • Maintenance, Inspection and Testing
  • Sizing of circuit protective conductors and withstand capability of main earth conductors
  • Sizing and configuration of earth electrodes and showing how they are calculated
  • Transformer and generator main earthing configurations and protection relays.

Session 4

  • An Overview of BS EN 62305 Air Terminations
  • Down Conductors
  • Earth Terminations
  • Maintenance, Inspection and Testing.
