I am working on a project where the client wants to install a CHP plant. The building is a large dwelling with a swimming pool in the basement which seems idea for a CHP. I have rung several companies and they all want a load profile for the building before they will provide a quote or any information. I don't have the fee in the job and the client doesn't want to pay thousands of pounds to get full simulation calculations done to estimate the energy load profile, is there a quick(ish) and easy way to do this? I have used simulation software to produce the heating and cooling loads can this be modified simply to get the results I need? Any help appreciated.
