About the Group
The Facilities Management Group was formed in January 1996 as a result of demand by CIBSE members for a greater emphasis in this growth sector. It provides the opportunity for CIBSE members and the building services industry in general to make a substantial contribution to the continuous improvement of Facilities Management (FM)...more about the Group
The main issues are:
- Consequential Improvements: requirements for improving the energy efficiency of commercial buildings when the building is refurbished or improved
- Commissioning plans to be introduced
- Provision of information - i.e. building log books
- Non Domestic Building Services Compliance Guides
- New special considerations for historic buildings, buildings with low energy demand, modular and portable buildings and shell & core developments.
