About the Group
The Heritage Group is the oldest of the specialist groups, set up by the Institution over 35 years ago to ensure that the early days of our Industry's past is recorded. In 1982 the Group became known as the CIBSE Heritage Group under the chairmanship of Brian M Roberts who still today continues in that office. Michael Barber has been the Secretary for the Group since its formation.
The Group have their own website at www.hevac-heritage.org which gives a history of the building engineering services industry from its beginnings in the industrial revolution as well as up-to-date information on the Group's forthcoming activities.
