An Employer Guide to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

CIBSE has produced a ‘Guide to Continuing Professional Development' for use by companies to explain to their professional engineers the meaning of CPD and its importance in maintaining professional competence.

Companies can use the Guide to demonstrate to employees that a clear framework for professional development will be provided that enables them to succeed in their chosen field of building services engineering. It explains how CPD is integrated in personnel development plans and appraisals and gives useful advice on subject areas for new learning and useful websites. If they wish, companies can adapt the Guide to suit company policy.
