Lighting the Past: a hands-on practical event

Date: Tuesday 14 March 2017

Location: Tudor House and Gardens, Southampton

Starting at: 5.45pm Buffet and Drinks included

Synopsis:

First built in 1348 the Tudor House and Gardens is the oldest building in Southampton with fascinating history.  We give you the chance to take part in teams of 5 to light internal and external parts of this historic structure.

CIBSE Southern region are inviting you to light 5 different spaces around the house and gardens to create a free-standing lighting installation. Luminaires will be provided by five different lighting manufacturers, looking after the teams with a selection of luminaires. Datasheets will be available for information on technical elements of the source, output and performance.

Each team will be allocated to 1 of the 5 spaces to light around the house and gardens.  Although not a competition a judging panel will review each area and discuss with the teams why they chose the final layouts.
