Learn from the Masters with the Society of Light and Lighting

Lighting professionals can now enroll to the 2013-2014 Masterclass series ‘Quality UP Energy DOWN' across the UK and Ireland by the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) to learn from experts in the field. From 24th October the Masters will deliver presentations on new technologies and lighting methods, government legislation and the critical need to reduce energy demand and carbon emissions.
The sessions deliver discussions about case studies in the art of science and intelligent lighting design focusing on the quality of the lit environment whilst ensuring that the minimum possible amount of energy is used. The Masterclass is a must attend event for all professionals working in the lighting industry and an opportunity to be informed and updated on lighting technology application.
The presentations during the day-long event will include:
‘Energy Reduction Through Intelligent Design' by Duncan Abbott, WILA
‘The World of OLED Lighting' by Matt Hanbury, Philips
‘Energy Reduction by Retrofit' by Kevin Stubbs, Thorn
‘L is for Lighting Control' by Dan Wills, Helvar
‘New Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Explained' by Helen Loomes, TRILUX
The classes will take place in Birmingham, Portsmouth, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Belfast, Glasgow and will culminate with the London event at RIBA, 66 Portland Place on 22nd May. Taster sessions of the classes can be registered for at the Tech Theatre area of LuxLive, Wednesday 20th November at Earl's Court, London.
