Background
As a built environment practitioner, the climate emergency will affect the way you work. Moving past awareness of the issues, our industry, like many others has begun a search for the strategies and solutions that will have the smallest environmental impact on the world around us.

Contractors, architects, engineers and building owners are all seeking answers to the same questions as we move towards net zero emissions by 2030. The building services industry at large has a role to play in the impact new and existing buildings will have on our environment. New buildings and upgrades today need to keep this requirement at the forefront of all planning and design decisions. The current generation of up and coming building services professionals are key to discovering, developing, designing and implementing solutions for the built environment that will take buildings beyond 2030 with net zero or carbon positive impacts.

The 2020 Graduate of the Year will understand the issues the industry faces and be able to consider the best solutions and strategies to overcome these.

Video Brief
