KAPIL KUMAR
Graduate Sustainability Consultant – WSP, VIC

Kapil graduated with his Masters of Mechanical Engineering degree from Unimelb, where he developed his passion for sustainability and learned the tools to implement his engineering knowledge to drive sustainable solutions across the built environments. After graduating, Kapil has been focusing on developing skills in sustainable building design and rating tools as well as driving innovation in the industry.

NEYRA RONG NIE
Electrical Engineer – Beca, Auckland

Neyra started her graduate role at Beca in 2020 following the completion of her BE (with first-class honours) degree in Electrical Engineering from UoA. She is passionate about creating intelligent and sustainable buildings and believes the core value of engineering is to serve people and help others live a better life.

SUDHAM PERERA
Project Engineer – Engineering Commissioning Services, NSW

Sudham began his career in 2019 as an electrical design with a multi-disciplinary building services consultancy. In 2021 he joined Engineering Commissioning Services (ECS) to provide commissioning services that optimise buildings, their sustainability and reliability. Throughout his career he has pushed for the development of innovative, human centred solutions.

JOSHUA BLACKMORE

Josh is passionate about creating innovative, inclusive and sustainable environments across healthcare, education, transport and other public-use facilities. He champions the personal and professional development of his peers, and promotes an industry that delivers for clients, communities and our planet.

ARKY ELSTON
Mechanical Engineer – Aurecon, NSW

Arky has worked on several major refurbishments of iconic buildings including 1 Spring St, Arts Centre Melbourne, 500 Bourke St and Marvel Stadium. Arky also harnessed his passion for sustainability to begin Sapien in 2017 – a start-up which makes homes more energy efficient.

Sustainability Manager – erbas™, VIC

Dr Jane Lai has an enthusiasm for innovative sustainable building designs and promoting STEM education to younger generations. With high professional competence, she enjoys pushing the boundaries in designs and also finding solutions to environmental and social challenges to improve buildings.
