Matthew is an Associate at Compass Engineering Group. Having been with the business since January 2018 and assisting with the growth of the business from 3 to 15 persons, his role primarily consists of being project lead and Mechanical Services discipline lead. Matthew’s key areas of interest include promoting energy efficient and sustainable building services design, developing fit-for-purpose and cost-effective solutions for clients and the development and progression of young engineers through the HVAC&R and greater construction industries.

During his career, Peter has developed an extensive knowledge in fan, applications, commerciality, project management, customer management, product management and sales and marketing. Peter continues to be an active member of the Victorian Chapter. During his membership he has been a General Committee Member, Victorian Chapter Chair and currently holds the position as Victorian Chapter Treasurer. Peter believes that his involvement with CIBSE ANZ has been invaluable as he continues to expand his professional networks and broaden his knowledge of the Australian Building Services Industry.

Sean McKeag is a Chartered Engineer with 30 years of experience in the construction industry, having lived and worked in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, London, KSA and the United Arab Emirates. Sean is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIE Aust), Fellow of Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (FCIBSE); Professional Engineer on Australia’s National Engineering Register (NER) and a registered International Professional Engineer Int(PE) APEC.

Dr Jane Lai is Associate I National Sustainability Lead in erbas I erbas SUSTAIN. She has broad experience and technical competence in sustainable design, reporting, energy performance analysis, and health and well-being design. She has worked on a wide range of project types in both the public and private sectors of existing and new developments. Jane is results oriented with a progressive approach to project delivery. She is a regular guest lecturer in the Melbourne School of Engineering at the University of Melbourne, and continues to push for innovative research opportunities between the industry and university.

Patrick Leung is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 35 years of building services engineering experience in the construction industry, having worked in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hong Kong, China, and Thailand across different sectors from infrastructure to building projects. Patrick is an enthusiastic engineering professional and aim to achieve a high standard of consultancy services for all projects. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIE Aust), Fellow of Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (FCIBSE); Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE); Professional Engineer on Australia’s National Engineering Register (NER), and a registered International Professional Engineer Int(PE) APEC. Peter has been involved with CIBSE ANZ in many positions over the last 18 years or so and has held positions from the Victorian Chair (2002 -2008) through to ANZ Chair (2008 – 2013) and CIBSE Global President (2014-2015). He is currently serving in an Advisory role on the ANZ Regional Committee He also undertakes the Professional Review Interviews for IEng and CEng, and the Competence Review Interviews for ACIBSE and MCIBSE, and conducts candidate interviews in the Victorian region.
