Speaker's Profile

Mat Colmer is a specialist in building performance assessment and research. Since May 2011 he has been working with Innovate UK within the Built Environment team. He is responsible for the £8m Building Performance Evaluation (BPE) programme, which is assembling a substantial body of data for many building types and drawing conclusions on strategies to achieve desired performance. His interests in the wide issues surrounding energy use come from over 15 years of working in the built environment sector, both as a hands-on technologist and a successful project manager.
