The official Danish state statistics for national energy consumption are only published in full in the Danish language, see the link below. This table from the yearly report shows the development of energy consumption through the years and decades. For Building Services Engineers the relevant information is in the two blocks of four columns on the right. On the far right, housing, and next to this, all other buildings. In the period 1980 to 1990 energy consumption fell slightly in all buildings. Since 1990, energy consumption has risen.
