What a year 2018 has been for the CIBSE ANZ region. There was the launch of a new publication, training initiatives, more Awards than ever before, the Smart Buildings Seminar Series and the expansion of the Young Engineers Network. With plenty more new initiatives planned for 2019 and a strong focus on training and development opportunities including online and face to face we have plenty to look forward to.

CIBSE ANZ’s quarterly digital journal was launched soon becoming Australia and New Zealand’s number one Building Services Engineering Journal.
Seven New Talking Buildings Podcasts Released
Covering topics from Ethics, Sustainability, Training, STEM, City Planning, and Journalism, CIBSE Talking Buildings has chatted to experts across the broader industry to give you varied insights that matter to built environment professionals.

A hugely successful Seminar Series toured 4 major cities in Australia and New Zealand.
ARBS Hall of Fame – Celebrating an Unsung Hero
Stephen Gilchrist, FCIBSE (pictured right), was presented with CIBSE ANZ’s Hall of Fame nomination at the ARBS Awards Dinner held at the ICC Sydney.
CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards
Three award winners announced at the CIBSE Young Engineers Awards Cocktail Function at the Australian Museum - Student, Graduate and Young Engineer of the Year.

Perth and Auckland have established YEN chapters, joining Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide to deliver technical, social and soft skills events for building services professionals in the development stages of their career.
