What a year 2018 has been for the CIBSE ANZ region. There was the launch of a new publication, training initiatives, more Awards than ever before, the Smart Buildings Seminar Series and the expansion of the Young Engineers Network. With plenty more new initiatives planned for 2019 and a strong focus on training and development opportunities including online and face to face we have plenty to look forward to.

ARBS Hall of Fame – Celebrating an Unsung Hero



Stephen Gilchrist, FCIBSE (pictured right), was presented with CIBSE ANZ’s Hall of Fame nomination at the ARBS Awards Dinner held at the ICC Sydney.

Three award winners announced at the CIBSE Young Engineers Awards Cocktail Function at the Australian Museum - Student, Graduate and Young Engineer of the Year.

CIBSE ANZ’s Young Engineers Network now in more chapters across the region



Perth and Auckland have established YEN chapters, joining Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide to deliver technical, social and soft skills events for building services professionals in the development stages of their career.

Record Breaking Benevolent Fund Donation

WA Chapter donated a record breaking $10,000 to the CIBSE Benevolent Fund

CIBSE ANZ presented Silver and Bronze to long-term star performers

CIBSE member Peter Kinsella was issued with the CIBSE Silver Medal whilst Manus Freeman and Peter Whalley were issued with Bronze for service to the institution.
