Innovations in wearables and sensors

19 October 2017 17:00 - 20:00

13 Fitzroy Street

CPD Hours

Rates of change in innovation are rapid and making us reconsider how we design or refurbish buildings. Robotics, augmented reality, new materials, nano technology, 3D printing and smart digital devices will influence design and the processes we use in the construction industry. New products too are appearing in the market place to offer the opportunity to design smart systems which respond to user needs. This seminar will focus on the development of sensors and wearable technology that can be used for post occupancy evaluation and to locate weak and strong spots in the environment and will end with a glimpse into the future digital age.
