Many still think of VR as a gimmick and don’t see how it can be used for work purposes. Understanding the range of technology and what it will help you to achieve can set you apart of the pack.

Using everything from Google Cardboards to the HTC Vive, VR is an exceptionally powerful decision-making tool!

In this session I’ll help give you an understanding of where and how Beca are using VR for our day to day work.

Presenters: Leo Yang – Associate Building Services Lead, asBUILT

Simon Mobley – Technical Director, asBUILT

Leo and Simon will be presenting about the different aspects of Digital Delivery in NZICC, 3D Scan to BIM Modelling process for Auckland International Airport and Starship Hospital

Presenter: Eliot Blenkarne – Visualiser, Warren and Mahoney

Architectural firm Warren and Mahoney has a dedicated visualisation team which allows them to produce a range of Virtual Reality experiences for both in-house use, and to share with their clients, stakeholders and communities. These experiences vary in scale and output, but always serve to aid the design process. In this session, Eliot will be speaking about how this striated approach to VR has helped their teams investigate, understand and even critique their processes and outputs.
