Session One | 20 October 2021 | Online from 13:00 BST
In this brand new series from the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) and Signify, we'll be joined in conversation by leading figures from the lighting industry.
For this session, we'll be joined by Dr Ruth Kelly Waskett, President of the SLL and Senior Associate at Hoare Lea and Florence Lam, Global Lighting Design Director for Arup.
Within her inaugural address as President of the SLL, Ruth outlined three central goals for the Society relating to improving representation, prioritising daylight within lighting design guidance, and raising awareness around the role of light in health.
When awarded the SLL President's Medal earlier this year, Florence Lam commented that the award was an endorsement of her commitment to bridging research into design, broadening the influence of the industry from human to humanity-centric.
This session will see these leading figures discuss the role of daylight and electric lighting in supporting human health, wellbeing, and a sustainable future, along with their personal views and hopes for the future of the lighting industry.
This session will include interactive Q&A.
