The CIBSE Scottish Region is hosting a two-day conference at the University of Strathclyde on 7-8 June 2023. 

Across the two days, we will be addressing Scottish issues in building and services design. An introduction by Adrian Catchpole, President-Elect of CIBSE, will be followed by presentations on Day 1 covering a wide range of topics related to achieving CO2 emission reductions and operational efficiencies. Topics will include Net zero healthcare, heat pumps, smart buildings, heat networks, a Passivhaus case study, and fire protection issues. infection control in healthcare, the impact of building regulations on design.

Day 2 is focussed on the Building Safety Act as it applies to Scotland.  Topics will include Scotland’s response to Grenfell and building safety concerns, introduction to the Building Safety Act and implications for Scottish practitioners, fire safety measures in Scotland and how they relate to English initiatives, BS8644-1 and digital fire safety information

Delegates can attend in person, or join online.  Lunch and tea/coffee breaks are included on both days.

This hybrid event will consist of keynote presentations and debates collated by the Scotland Technical team and the main CIBSE Technical Team.
