About the Group

The CIBSE Healthcare Group aims to improve the performance of Healthcare buildings by increasing awareness amongst all building professionals and supporting the implementation of relevant Standards and legislation aimed at improving the effective use of Healthcare Buildings.

Join the Committee

You may be aware that the Healthcare Group has been inactive for a while. At the same time, there are significant discussions about the ventilation of Healthcare buildings, and the NHS has recently published reports suggesting that energy and carbon reductions could contribute significant savings to the NHS in England. The Royal Academy of Engineering is also looking at the potential contribution of systems engineering to the health service.

We currently seeking to revive the Group and to form a committee to provide some technical events and activities relevant to Group members. If you would like to be actively involved in its work over the next year, please send a brief summary of your interest in healthcare buildings to Nyree Hughes, Technical Networks Manager, by 30th June 2016. The key attributes are an interest in engineering for Healthcare, and enthusiasm to share that interest and knowledge with other members and a broader audience.
