MISSION STATEMENT
To increase the awareness of the potential benefits of CHP and encourage members to consider CHP as a matter of course.
Benefits of CHP in buildings:
- Lower energy costs - In cost effective schemes, the electricity cost savings substantially outweigh any increase in fossil fuel costs.
- Increased security of supply - Where the CHP unit is set up to operate in island mode when the mains supply fails, CHP provides a major improvement to the security of electricity supply.
- Environmental benefits - The reduced CO2 emissions from CHP help in the fight against global warming.
