CIBSE encourages all its members to participate in any current consultations in the area of building services that are listed below and to contribute to Institutional responses.
- Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS): technical specifications - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response for package 1 is the 25th March, closes 15th April and for package 2 by the 4th May 2026 closes on the 25th May
- Water Safety Guidance (SHTM 04-01) Draft for Public Consultation - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response is the 22nd May, closes 12th June
- Call for Evidence: Bricks and Water 5 - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response is the 22nd April, closes 29th April 2026
- Construction Products Reform White Paper - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response for is the 29th April, closes 20th May 2026
- Updating standards for local space heating products - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response is the 4th May, closes 20th May 2026
- Proportionality in building control: categorisation of higher-risk building work - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response is the 7th May, closes 28th May 2026
- Plan approval requirements for new builds and fire safety order buildings - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response is the 21st May, closes 11th June 2026
- Review of Approved Document B: Fire safety guidance - deadline to contribute to the CIBSE response is the 29th May, closes 17th June 2026
There are some government consultations that CIBSE will not be responding to due to lack of capacity but we encourage people to submit their own responses. These are below.
