The Society's 2008-2009 Masterclass theme is "The Drivers of Design". The Masterclass comprises papers from our four Masters and a guest paper from an independent lighting designer from PLDA. A full day's entertainment for just £39.95 including VAT. Non-members are welcome at no extra charge.

The Lighting Diploma has been created to recognise appropriate qualifications and experience in lighting. It is available to all Society members of any class who can show that they qualify. - Directory of Lighting Consultants
The Lighting Directory lists firms which provide independent consultancy and/or design services in one or more aspects of lighting and which employ at least one member of the Society member who holds the Lighting Diploma. - CIE-UK
The Society provides secretariat facilities for CIE-UK, the British National Committee of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). - Lighting Education Trust
CIBSE is one of the trustees of the Lighting Education Trust which supports lighting education in the UK, notably an MSc at the Bartlett School of Architecture and a CD-ROM-based distance learning course based at South Bank University.
