- Increase and retain the number of women in the Building Services Industry
- Improve life for those women already working in the sector by providing advice, encouragement, support, mentoring and training
- Address the gender imbalance issues
- Provide networking events for members
To work to increase the number of women choosing a career in all sectors of the building services industry, to support those already in the industry to enable them to achieve their career goals and to encourage more women to join the Institution and contribute to its governance and activities.
Membership is free and you don't have to be a CIBSE member.
Men as well as women are welcome to join.

Finding My Voice: How CIBSE YEN London Helped Me Grow as an Engineer and Advocate for Women in STEM
I first discovered CIBSE YEN through a colleague at work, which led me to follow their LinkedIn page and attend a few events. When I saw the post about joining the committee, I hesitated because I didn’t think I had enough experience. At the time, I had only been in the industry for six months and didn’t really see myself as a building services engineer since I had just graduated from studying Civil Engineering to master’s level.
