On 26 June 2014, the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) published the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) Regulations 2014 to help meet the UK's requirements under Article 8 of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive.
ESOS is an energy assessment scheme that is mandatory for organisations in the UK that are classified as large enterprises or are part of a large group enterprise.
