Teambuild 2014 logoREGISTER NOW at http://www.teambuilduk.com/news/construction-industry-event/ for a chance to earn 4 days CPD whilst competing for a cash prize of £1500.

The 24th annual TeamBuild (formerly Build-A-Building) competition, supported by CIBSE, is taking place this year on the 14-16 November. Entries are invited from multi-disciplinary teams and individuals interested in taking part in this one-of-a-kind event.

Teams are challenged to compete in a simulation of the design and construction process for the development of a real site

About the competition

TeamBuild is a cross-disciplinary construction competition, in which teams are challenged to compete in a simulation of the design and construction process for the development of a real site. Attracting competitors from major companies representing all disciplines within our industry, it is not only a fantastic training event, but also an unparalleled opportunity to build networks between young staff and between different companies.

How to enter

The competition is open to entries from all construction industry professionals aged under 30 on the 1st January 2015. The first stage of entering is to visit http://www.teambuilduk.com/news/construction-industry-event/ and register your interest; the deadline for registration is the 30th August.

Teams should contain six individuals who represent a good spread of disciplines. It’s popular to put together a team with members from companies you work with regularly, as a way to develop relationships between project teams and advance the careers of promising members of staff.

If bringing together a full team is difficult, Teambuild offer a 'matchmaking' service - so partial teams, or individuals would be welcomed and supported to link up with others and form a team.

What are the benefits of competing?

On top of the £1500 prize for the talented winners, every entrant benefits from the excellent training and an unparalleled opportunity to build networks at a crucial stage of their careers; many TeamBuild ‘alumni’ have gone on to run many successful and innovative construction businesses including Expedition Engineering, Carillion, HOK, and Architecture 00:/.
