The Alternative Route to gaining registration is for those who do not hold the exemplifying qualifications. Applicants can demonstrate their technical knowledge by writing a Technical Report or through our Experiential Learning Route.
- The Technical Report Route: This route is for applicants who already have CIBSE membership at ACIBSE or MCIBSE grade and want to add Professional Registration with the Engineering Council to their membership of IEng or CEng.
- The Experiential Learning Route: This route is for applicants who want to gain CIBSE membership at ACIBSE or MCIBSE grade and Professional Registration with the Engineering Council without exemplifying academic qualifications.
