Getting to know CIBSE trainer: Nick Fleckney
“Knowing the bookwork is one thing, knowing how to make that bookwork work and be constructible within a building is a whole other skill set!” Nick’s pathway to building services engineering was slightly untraditional, but it has given him a solid grounding in applying hydraulic services design which he passes on to his students.

The overarching theme of the 2024 CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Award is Emerging Technologies. More specifically, Students, Graduates and Young Engineers are being asked to assess the impacts and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence, to varying degrees, on the building services industry.
