Membership Marketing Executive

In an exciting new role in the marketing and communications team, you will plan and deliver end-to-end campaigns that support our acquisition, retention, and engagement activities to contribute to membership growth, both in the UK and Internationally.

About CIBSE

With over 20,000 Members across its global community, CIBSE is a professional body that exists to promote the Art, Science and Practice of building services engineering by providing first-class information and education services and promoting the spirit of fellowship which guides its work. It promotes the profession of building services engineering by accrediting courses of study in further and higher education and is the standard setter and authority on building services engineering.

CIBSE provides the voice for the profession, is consulted by government about construction, engineering and sustainability and is represented on major bodies and organisations which govern construction and engineering occupations in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver marketing campaigns to support membership acquisition, retention, and engagement activities.
  • Responsible for developing and managing automated communications for all elements of the marketing strategy.
  • Develop and optimise monthly newsletters across CIBSE groups and societies.
  • Conceptualise and support in delivering social media campaigns, including advocacy programmes, driving engagement and retention metrics.
  • Deliver an evergreen omni-channel campaign showcasing member benefits.
  • Measure and report on monthly performance and apply course correct where required.
  • Plan and deliver integrated activities across seamless customer journeys.

Person Specification

The role would suit a candidate looking for an autonomous opportunity with experience in planning and delivering integrated campaigns with strong automation experience. The candidate should feel comfortable navigating and implementing new initiatives, with the support and guidance of the Membership Marketing Manager. Other skills might include:

  • Membership marketing experience preferable.
  • Experience using Pardot and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrable automation experience.
  • Excellent written English with a creative flair for storytelling and content writing.
  • Great organisation skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Understanding of digital analytics and experience with Google Analytics 4 preferable.

Location/travel

The role will be formally based at our Head Office. Current policy is that everyone has been asked to be in the office as many or more days than they are not (so, if you work 3 days a week, you are expected in the office for 2).
