The Affiliate grade of membership is open to anyone who has an interest in façade engineering. There is no requirement for applicants to demonstrate knowledge or experience of façade engineering.
This grade of membership does not require the demonstration of any experience or competence. It therefore does not allow the use of post- nominals and the recognition of industry standing that they carry. However, this membership will allow affiliates all the other benefits while they prepare for the higher grades of membership.
You can apply for SFE Affiliate Membership online. Many choose to obtain Affiliate membership while preparing for a submission for one of the higher grades.
The subscription fees applicable are only the CIBSE subscription fees, at CIBSE Affiliate grade. If you are already a CIBSE Affiliate or higher grade, no additional fees are required.
