CIBSE QLD welcomes a new chair

CIBSE Queensland is set to see some changes and increased activity in 2019, with Keith Merry appointed the new CIBSE QLD Chair.  Keith is the founder and Managing Director of Redd Zebra, a national independent Asset & Building Advisory firm. His career spans over twenty years, including executive roles leading operational and business change as well as strategic marketing, asset and commercial property consulting. Keith is no stranger to CIBSE previously holding the CIBSE Qld Chair role and being actively involved with the committee over the years.

The chapter hosted a visit from CIBSE Technical Director Hywel Davies last month who delivered a presenation outlining lessons learnt from the Grenfell Tower tradgey. This was following the release of the Independent Review into Building Regulations and Fire Safety in the UK.

The QLD committee are focused on delivering a variety of technical support to the industry with plans underway for a series of technical seminars, a site tour and social events for 2019. Details of the next event will be added to the events calendar at www.cibse.org.au shortly.
