These recipients have demonstrated sustained commitment and meaningful impact to the Institution and the profession.

Gary Chiang
CEng MCIBSE
Gary has held multiple leadership roles within the CIBSE Hong Kong Region, including Chairman. His contributions include driving membership growth, launching the YEN chartership coaching programme, and leading the CIBSE Hong Kong Awards.
Mahroo Eftekhari
CEng FCIBSE
Mahroo’s leadership has expanded CIBSE East Midlands’ membership by 11% and she has made valuable contributions to CIBSE accreditation, CPD delivery, and student mentoring. Mahroo also plays a pivotal role internationally through ASHRAE and the Building Services Engineering Research and Technology journal.
Jonathan Grimshaw
CEng MCIBSE
Jonathan receives the CIBSE Bronze Medal in recognition of his long service to the CIBSE Northern Ireland Region. He has held multiple leadership roles including two terms as Regional Chair and remains an active committee member.
Helen Loomes
FSLL
Helen is a long-standing contributor to CIBSE and SLL. Her significant impact includes delivering CPD across the UK, leading SLL Masterclasses and Light Bytes events, advocating for women in lighting, and of course, as President of the SLL.
Laura Mansel-Thomas

Laura has held key roles at both regional and global levels, not least as serving on the CIBSE Board as Vice-President. She played a pivotal role in advancing the Building Performance strategic theme and contributed to the UK government’s 'Mission Zero' report.
Leon Markwell

Leon has held numerous roles within CIBSE, including Chair of the Electrical Services Group and long-time Secretary of the Home Counties South West Region. His influential technical contributions – particularly to BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, CIBSE Guide K, and TM67 – have enhanced safety and quality across the built environment.
Paul Marston

Paul has nearly 20 years of dedicated service to the CIBSE Home Counties South West Region, most notably as Treasurer. Throughout his tenure, Paul has ensured meticulous financial management, maintaining accurate records and timely reporting.
John McLean
FCIBSE
John is a long-serving Fellow of CIBSE, an active member of the CIBSE Scotland committee and Regional Almoner for Scotland, and a former trustee of the CIBSE Benevolent Fund, supporting members in need.
David Mooney

David is a long-standing and highly active member of CIBSE and the Society of Light and Lighting for over 13 years. Alongside his outstanding contribution to technical publication development for the SLL, David’s involvement in the SLL Technical and Publications committee has supported the growth and engagement of CIBSE members.

With over two decades of sustained service to CIBSE and the SLL, Ruth is a former SLL President and CIBSE Board Member, and has played a pivotal role in advancing professional standards and contributing to the Institution’s strategic oversight and governance.
