Had enough of battling with contractors, working to unachievable deadlines, working on projects that have been costed so tightly that there is no time for unforeseen changes and generally fed up with the pressure and workload within traditional building services design consultancy? Rather than dealing with these daily challenges, maybe you should consider working within a Commercial Property Consultancy who manage large estates and portfolios of buildings on behalf of some of the world’s leading businesses. Managing these buildings offers the opportunity to engage and work on all of the M&E Design projects that occurs during the building’s lifetime. Essentially Commercial Property Consultancies have their own in-house client base and have subsequently developed fully functioning, in-house M&E Consultancies which feeds off of the M&E projects across all of their client’s buildings and portfolio’s. As they manage all aspects of a client’s property portfolio from buying, selling, leasing etc along with anything technical, including building surveying, PM, sustainability/NZC and M&E - including full detailed design (stages 0-7). The Opportunity: This role sits with one of the world’s largest Commercial Property Consultancies, number 1 in the global market in leasing, property sales, property management, occupier outsourcing and valuations, with revenues in excess of £20bn and 500 offices globally. A move into their M&E Design & Projects team would represent absolute career progression. A wide-ranging scope of projects including office fit outs, laboratories, industrial & logistics, data centres, listed and public buildings, refurbishments, new build, plant replacements, feasibility studies, project monitoring, sustainability projects. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of compliant strategies within their projects. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while shaping the next generation of engineering talent. Responsibilities: Prepare and present technical evidence, calculations, and design support for healthcare specific building services systems. Collaborate effectively with clients and external design teams (architectural, structural, quantity surveying). Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineers within the Power Infrastructure design team. Requirements: HNC/Degree qualification preferred - Electrical or building services – Experience in lieu of qualifications will be considered Working towards Chartership. Professional membership of relevant institute preferred (CIBSE, IET, IHEEM) Highly Experienced in Electrical Engineering services systems designs across a range of building types and in particular health buildings. Demonstratable experience of power infrastructure system design Significant experience operating at Intermediate Engineer role Client relationship building skills.
