Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Your new company A well‑established and design‑led building services engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support its continued growth across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to take a technical lead position on a range of high‑profile and technically challenging projects, working closely with associates, project teams and clients. Your new role You will be responsible for leading the electrical building services design on projects from concept through to construction, providing technical direction and mentoring junior engineers. Key responsibilities include: Leading the electrical design of building services systems, including power, lighting, fire alarms, data, security and life‑safety systems Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports Coordinating with mechanical engineers, architects and external consultants Acting as a key technical point of contact for clients and project teams Attending design team and client meetings Managing and mentoring intermediate and junior engineers Ensuring designs meet UK regulations, standards and best practice Project sectors You will work across a varied and impressive portfolio, including: Healthcare - hospitals, acute care and specialist facilities Commercial - offices, mixed‑use schemes and fit‑out projects Residential - high‑quality apartment and large‑scale residential developments Projects range from complex refurbishments to large new‑build schemes, offering excellent technical variety.
