Associate Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-profile projects while helping to shape the future of the built environment.Your new role As an Associate Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of complex building services projects, managing multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong client relationships. Your new company Your new company is working on some of the most complex MEP designs in the UK and are very proud of their technical ability and the quality of services they deliver for their designs, working on RIBA 2-4 and consulting through 5-7. The office is located in either Leicester or Birmingham however, you can be flexible with how often you attend the office, so if you live a little further away to Leicester or Birmingham, then please still apply. This company is currently working with United Utilities, MoD, Public Health England, DEFRA, and NW Universities. Projects range from £50m - £600m Your new role In your new role, you will be working as an Associate Electrical or Mechanical Engineer on highly complex and technical MoD projects, including Shooting Ranges, Bespoke Training Facilities, UK Defence Facilities and DEOP (Defence Estates Optimise Programme). As well as MoD, you will be working on highly detailed labs, including Public Health England and Defence labs with both clean rooms and Cat 4 Labs. This role will be highly technical and requires the right candidate to be skilled in conceptual and detailed design.What you'll need to succeed To succeed in an application for interview, you will need to either working at similar level or ready to step up to this level with design experience either within a consultancy or contractor. Your New Company Hays Building Services are pleased to be assisting a growing organisation in Bristol with the recruitment of a M&E Clerk of Works to join their expanding team. Your New Role You will ensure quality assurance, technical compliance, and smooth delivery from design through to handover across the construction stages. Monitor site progress, report technical issues through the NEC Supervisor, as well as monitor the system commissioning process, ensuring that the contractor's team carry out the commissioning in the correct manner and ensuring commissioning meets with design expectations. You will deliver weekly summary status reports, M&E site inspection reports, recording commissioning status's, handover readiness and recommendations report, as well as stage 6 handover documentation review and close-out support. What You'll Need To Succeed You will have experience supervising clean rooms or controlled environment construction from a mechanical & electrical bias, demonstrated familiarity with ISO 14644 requirements and contamination control practices, as well as the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications relating to HVAC, Architectural and MEP installations.
