CAD Lead

Your new role Our client is lookingto appoint a CAD Lead within their Net Zero Energy Business. In this role, youwill assume a leading role on one of their main technical capabilitiesdelivering right-first-time solutions for the most challenging problems in theNet Zero industry. You will possess theflexibility to work on several small projects at a time, or overseeing severaltechnicians to deliver a multi-discipline project. Your responsibilitieswill include: Working alongside our engineering teams to prepare designs, 3D models, and detailed drawings that comply with project and client requirements (multi-discipline). Developing our cross-market CAD strategy, growing our capability, and co-ordinating CAD designers. Line managing and coordinating CAD designers in UK and India to deliver high quality drawings. Coordinating with engineers, clients, and CAD teams to select and set-up appropriate software. Reviewing and checking designs to ensure compliance with engineers and project requirements. Ensuring compliance with the company's established standards, conventions, and procedures, and applicable engineering codes and practices (inc. BS 8888). Coordinating and prioritising multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment. Leading on CAD improvement initiatives and tools development. What you'll need to succeed Diploma in Engineering Design, Drafting or equivalent. Previous experience leading teams and developing strategies. Experience with a variety of CAD software for various engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, civil) such as Plant 3D, Revit, AutoCAD (including setup and configuration). Knowledge of software compatibilities and integration. An appreciation of delivery and checking of technically compliant design deliverables in accordance with the input requirements, and ability to identify design issues. Experience of CAD delivery for high hazard industrial projects (e.g. Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, High Voltage electrical infrastructure). The desire to lead/guide others. Mechanical Project Manager
Your new company You will be working for a leading M&E contractor that has continued to grow into one of the largest M&E contractors in the UK. They work on a variety of different projects which include; commercial, industrial and high-end residential. They have a strong pipeline of work and are looking for the right people to join their team for this continued growth.Your new role Attend project start up meetings and manage all mechanical aspects, delivering the project, on time and within budget. Familiarise yourself with all details and specifications of the project. Collate technical submittals, ensuring they are issued and followed through until approval. Manage labour tracker. Maintain Progress Report weekly, reporting and managing any changes/variations. Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team. Oversee coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment. Ensure adequate materials are always available to complete the project. Ensure construction and commissioning programmes are in place for the job and implement the commission plan on site. Manage K&M handover process and maintain K&M Document Management System. Project specific scheduling. Attend meetings as required with Sub Contractors to ensure on time delivery. Attend general site meetings and action any points raised. The Role As an Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of a wide range of air conditioning systems, including: Split systems VRF / VRV systems Ducted units HVRF systems Air source heat pumps and associated mechanical plant This is a mobile role covering commercial sites across the North West. The ideal candidate will be based in or around Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington or East Lancashire.
