Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

The Client: Our client is a well-established and award-winning MEP Building Services consultancy seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team of 15 engineers. The Role: As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical building services design from concept through to completion. You will work closely with senior engineers and directly with clients, contributing to technically challenging and rewarding projects. Key responsibilities include: Developing mechanical design concepts and detailed design solutions Producing and reviewing design briefs based on client or senior engineer requirements Taking responsibility for technical and financial decisions on assigned projects Undertaking site surveys and preparing detailed mechanical condition and compliance reports Ensuring compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations and Codes of Practice Carrying out energy assessments and evaluating system performance Coordinating with other disciplines and understanding cross-discipline design parameters Assisting in the preparation of drawings using CAD Managing workload effectively to meet programme deadlines Exercising independent technical judgement with limited supervision About You: We’re looking for a motivated and technically capable engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career. Revit Technician (MEP)

Your new company A well-established and respected M&E Contractor with over 25 years of success is seeking a Revit Technician to join their growing projects division. Known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across healthcare, education, commercial, heritage, residential, and hospitality sectors, they specialise in both new build and refurbishment projects throughout NI and the UK. Your new role You'll take ownership of your own projects while contributing to coordinated BIM delivery across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage detailed MEP Revit models (ductwork, piping, containment, equipment). Produce construction and fabrication drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and schedules. Coordinate with architectural and structural teams to resolve clashes and ensure spatial efficiency. Conduct model reviews and quality checks to meet project and industry standards. Manage documentation and version control within CDEs (Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite). Stay current with BIM tools and participate in ongoing training. QUANTITY SURVEYOR

An established main contractor with over 50 years of trading history. They employ approximately 280 people and turn over around £100 million annually. Their current focus is on commercial, industrial and life sciences new build projects, primarily across London. Project values typically range between £5 million and £15 million, with larger schemes also forming part of their portfolio. THE JOB – QUANTITY SURVEYOR (LONDON) Monday – Friday / 8am – 5pm The Quantity Surveyor will be split between office and site, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial. You will be managing multiple projects at one time across London. Projects valued at £15 million and above will typically have two QS professionals assigned, while projects under £15 million are usually managed by one QS. You will be responsible for commercial management from procurement through to final account, handling subcontractor packages, cost reporting and client valuations. This role offers exposure to multiple schemes simultaneously and would suit someone comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
