Mechanical Project Manager

Your New Role You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a range of technical projects from concept through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant industry standards and client requirements. You will be managing and coordinating project teams including engineers, designers, technicians, and subcontractors, be responsible for full mechanical cost control including budgeting, estimating, package procurement, subcontract account management, and agreement of final accounts, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders. What You'll Need To Succeed You will be an experienced project manager with strong technical knowledge of building services and HVAC systems, experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from pre-construction through to delivery, as well as excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to track and file information efficiently and effectively. What You'll Get In Return This role is being offered with a salary between £50,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on experience on a permanent contract with good benefits and a bonus. Your new role Take ownership of assigned projects, focusing on healthcare, public sector, education, and commercial sectors. Act as the primary client contact for both technical and commercial matters. Contribute to business development activities and help grow client relationships. What you'll need to succeed Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or MEng). Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it). Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., CIBSE, IET); IHEEM membership is highly desirable. A strong background in UK healthcare projects is desirable. Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in a UK design consultancy. Expertise in mechanical building services design, with a solid understanding of technical standards, legislation, and best practice. Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets and financial performance. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time and within scope. A proactive, positive approach with excellent communication skills to inspire confidence in clients and colleagues. This role will focus heavily on drainage design , supporting the delivery of development and infrastructure projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and project teams to produce high-quality technical drawings and infrastructure designs from concept through to construction.
