This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and scaling a high-impact service line that sits at the heart of building performance, decarbonisation, and regulatory compliance management across a diverse property portfolio. You will play a key role in helping clients improve energy performance, meet MEES requirements and transition toward Net Zero, while influencing both design-stage decisions and operational strategies. The Role As the EPC Service Leader, you will take ownership of technical delivery, service growth, and innovation across EPC Levels 3–5 and wider energy modelling services. Working within a multidisciplinary Building Performance & Optimisation team, you’ll coordinate internal specialists and external partners to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs while developing new, scalable service offerings, helping to close the performance gap and reduce the carbon footprint of existing buildings. Key Responsibilities Lead the non-domestic EPC service line, ensuring compliant, technically robust delivery up to Level 5 EPCs Drive service growth across capability, resource, geographic reach, and client application Undertake and oversee Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) to support EPC certification and design decisions Deliver scenario modelling for: MEES compliance strategies EPC uplift pathways Operational energy (EUI) impacts Carbon reduction analysis Manage and coordinate external EPC assessors and modelling partners Develop scalable methodologies, templates, and client-ready reporting outputs Expand service offerings including: EPC+ advisory MEES strategies Light-touch Net Zero / EUI modelling for early-stage feasibility Provide technical input into wider services such as: ESOS / SECR Energy optimisation studies Metering strategies Heat network assessments Maintain strong collaboration with internal teams across property, engineering, and consultancy disciplines Oversee quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement Mentor and develop junior assessors and engineers Stay ahead of regulatory changes across EPC, MEES, DSM, and Net Zero frameworks, translating these into actionable service improvements About You Qualified Non-Domestic EPC Assessor (Level 4–5) with significant delivery experience Strong expertise in: Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) Building physics & fabric performance HVAC systems and low-carbon design Proven track record in: EPC uplift strategies MEES compliance modelling Operational energy and ESG considerations Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear client insights Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and supply chain partners Strong communication skills with experience producing high-quality reports and presentations A proactive mindset toward innovation, service development, and scalable growth Comfortable working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary consultancy environment Why Apply? Regional Building Services Engineer (MEP)

Following a period of strategic growth and the establishment of our Northern offices, we are seeking a highly skilled MEP professional to act as a key technical anchor for our projects across the North-West and Yorkshire regions. This is a bespoke, high-autonomy role designed for an engineer who excels in the 'front-end' of building services: site intelligence, client strategy, and technical delivery. You will be the primary technical face of our MEP discipline in the North, working as a strategic partner to our established Birmingham and London Design Hubs. Unlike traditional design roles, this position focusses on the critical interface between the site, the client, and the design office. You will be the 'eyes and ears' on the ground, ensuring that the technical information feeding our design process is of the highest accuracy. Your new role Technical Information Gathering: Lead comprehensive site appraisals and technical feasibility surveys. You will translate complex as-built realities into clear, high-level briefs for our design team. Client & Stakeholder Leadership: Act as the MEP design lead in Northern-based project meetings, providing expert technical advice to clients, architects, and contractors. Design Liaison: Bridge the gap between site-based challenges and design-office solutions. You will be the technical translator, ensuring the team has everything they need to produce designs. Construction Stage Monitoring: Conduct high-level technical reviews and periodic site inspections, to ensure the onsite installation aligns with the design intent and quality benchmarks. Project Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the flow of information from initial site visit through to final commissioning and handover. Management & Reporting Structure: While based in our Northern offices, you will be a core member of our national MEP team. You will be managed by the Birmingham-based MEP Programme Manager and working closely with our MEP Director on key client relationships and projects. What you'll need to succeed You must have a robust background in Building Services Design (Mechanical or Electrical) with a deep understanding of multidisciplinary coordination. Ideally 5+ years experience This is a highly mobile, field-based role requiring a proactive approach to regional travel. A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel are essential. Exceptional ability to produce clear, professional site reports, sketches, and briefing documents that the design team can build from. You can identify a site-based constraint and immediately visualise the potential design solutions. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEP Building Services Project Manager to join a leading organisation delivering a £1bn+ landmark new-build development in Manchester. Working within a globally recognised Project Management Consultancy, you will take ownership of the mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) elements of this large-scale, complex scheme, ensuring successful delivery from design through to commissioning and handover. The successful candidate will immerse themselves fully in the scheme, taking responsibility for managing MEP packages from bid stage through to final delivery, providing continuity, technical leadership, and commercial oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle.
