Director - Building Services Consultancy

Your new company You will be joining a well-established SME multidisciplinary consultancy with several offices across the UK and a growing presence in the Midlands. The business delivers a wide range of building services and multidisciplinary engineering projects across both public and private sectors and has developed a strong reputation for technical quality, collaboration, and long-term client relationships. The Birmingham office already has an experienced team and a healthy pipeline of secured work. The company is now looking to appoint a Building Services Director to lead, strengthen, and grow this important regional base, with full support from the wider leadership team. This role offers a rare opportunity to take ownership of an established office and shape its next phase of growth within a supportive and well-respected consultancy. Your new role As Building Services Director, you will lead the technical, commercial, and operational performance of the Birmingham office. You will oversee and develop the existing team while scaling the office to approximately 15 staff as project demand grows. Key responsibilities will include: * Acting as a senior technical lead on Building Services / MEP projects* Developing and maintaining strong client relationships* Supporting business development and winning new work* Leading and mentoring engineers within the Birmingham team* Managing project delivery, team performance, and commercial outcomes* Supporting the strategic growth of the regional office The consultancy already has a strong presence in public sector projects, but there is also scope for you to expand commercial sector work depending on your experience and client network.
