Your new company Are you highly organised, detail‑driven and experienced in document control within a construction environment? Hays are working with a Tier 1 contractor in Bristol, looking for a proactive and experienced Document Controller / Site Secretary to support a busy site team and ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient management of all projects. Your new role As the Document Controller / Site Secretary, you will play a key administrative and technical support role within the project team. You'll manage all project documentation, maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with company and project standards, and provide vital administrative support to keep the site running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Manage the intake, scanning, verification and distribution of project documents, drawings and correspondence. Maintain the Document Management System, ensuring accurate filing, version control and accessibility. Track and distribute updated drawings, specifications and technical information to engineers, subcontractors and site teams. Ensure all documentation meets compliance, QA and project standards. File, archive and securely store sensitive or confidential information. Retrieve documents and records when required by project managers and wider site personnel. Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes and circulate documentation. Manage site registers, including visitors, inductions, permits and deliveries. Provide general administrative support-printing, scanning, correspondence and maintaining office supplies. Support onboarding of subcontractors and new staff with documentation and site forms. About you Experience in document control or site administration within construction. Strong understanding of document management processes and systems (e.g., SharePoint, Viewpoint, Aconex preferred but not essential). Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Confident communicator with the ability to work with multiple departments and stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable handling high volumes of documents. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of compliant strategies within their projects. Responsibilities: Prepare and present technical evidence, calculations, and design support for healthcare specific building services systems. Collaborate effectively with clients and external design teams (architectural, structural, quantity surveying). 3D CAD Coordinator (Fabrication MEP)
My client are a privately owned Mechanical Contractor based in South London who have been operating for 25 years. As a business, they employ about 35 staff across the board and specialise in CAT A & CAT B Commercial Office Fit out projects in London with Project values ranging from £500k – £11.5Mil. They are now seeking to grow their Design Department by hiring an additional 3D CAD Coordinator to join the team. They primarily produce drawings using AutoCAD Fabrication, which are then integrated into AutoCAD. Additionally, they use Navisworks to perform 3D model walkthroughs. While experience with Revit is also advantageous, their core workflow revolves around AutoCAD Fabrication, AutoCAD and Navisworks. THE ROLE – 3D CAD Coordinator Monday – Friday / 9.00am – 5.30pm Key Responsibilities Develop fabrication-ready 3D models of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) using Autodesk Fabrication CADmep, AutoCAD & Navisworks. Produce detailed shop drawings, spools, and fabrication layouts for prefabrication teams. Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure model accuracy and installation feasibility. Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or equivalent software. Maintain and manage fabrication libraries and CADmep databases for duct, pipe, and fitting components. Assist in creating material takeoffs, BOMs, and CNC files for duct and pipe fabrication. Support site teams by providing technical guidance on fabricated components and installation details. Ensure all models and drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements. Provide technical support and training to junior coordinators or drafting staff as required.
