Mechanical Engineer

Your new role Deliver mechanical building services design across projects from concept through to construction and handover Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings for HVAC, domestic water, drainage, and associated systems Undertake mechanical design using industry software (e.g. IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD/Revit) Coordinate designs with electrical, public health, structural and architectural teams Attend design team meetings, client workshops, and site meetings as required Respond to technical queries during construction and assist with site inspections Ensure designs comply with current regulations, standards, and best practice (e.g. Building Regulations, CIBSE, British Standards) Continue professional development and actively work towards Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) What you'll need to succeed A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering 3-5 years' experience within a building services consultancy or contractor design environment A solid understanding of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, domestic water and drainage Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE guidance Experience producing calculations, specifications, reports and coordinated design information Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit, Essential: Experience working on UK projects and UK building odes for a minimum of 3 years. You will design across all RIBA stages 1-7, ranging from feasibility studies to full detailed design, working across a broad range of sectors within the private and public fields.
